Gainsborough Adventure Playground
Valued Community Facility
GAPA Mini Food Pantry is a new initiative by Feeding Gainsborough that aims to address food insecurity in the local community. The pantry collects surplus food from local supermarkets, businesses, and growers and redistributes it to those most in need. This includes a variety of food items such as bakery goods, fresh fruits and vegetables, ambient goods, and ready-made meals like roast chicken dinners.
The pantry is located at Gainsborough Adventure Playground (GAPA) and will be regularly restocked to ensure a consistent supply of food for those in need. Families can contact GAPA to access the pantry and receive assistance with their food needs. This initiative not only helps to reduce food waste but also provides essential support to individuals and families facing food insecurity in the area.
